Privacy Policy
1. Who we are

2. What data we collect
When you browse the site
Gut Friendly does not use analytics tracking, advertising pixels, or cookies that collect personal data. We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar service. Standard server access logs (IP address, page visited, timestamp) may be recorded by our hosting provider (Vercel) as part of their infrastructure — this data is not processed or stored by us and is governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy.
When you make a purchase
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy LLC, Salt Lake City, UT), who acts as the merchant of record. When you buy the premium ingredient checker, you are transacting directly with Lemon Squeezy. They collect your name, email address, and payment details as necessary to complete the transaction.
Lemon Squeezy provides us with limited transaction information (that a purchase occurred, and the email address used) so we can activate your access. We do not receive or store your card details, billing address, or any other sensitive payment data.

When you contact us
If you email us, we will use your email address and the content of your message solely to respond to your query. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your details with third parties.
3. Cookies
Gut Friendly does not set cookies for tracking or advertising. If you purchase the premium checker, Lemon Squeezy may set a cookie as part of the checkout flow — this is governed by their cookie policy. Your browser may also cache static assets (fonts, images) as part of normal website operation — this is technically necessary and contains no personal data.
4. Health information
The site provides general dietary information about the low-FODMAP diet. You may voluntarily choose to use this information in the context of a medical condition (IBS). We do not ask you to submit, and do not collect, any information about your health status. Any dietary decisions you make based on this site are your own — please consult a dietitian for personal medical advice.
5. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the legal basis for any processing we carry out is:
- Contractual necessity — processing your email address to confirm and activate a purchase you made.
- Legitimate interests — responding to direct enquiries you initiate by contacting us.
For data collected by Lemon Squeezy during checkout, Lemon Squeezy is an independent data controller and their legal bases are set out in their privacy policy.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, you have the right to:
- Access any personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing
- Data portability
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Finland: tietosuoja.fi)

7. Data retention
We retain your email address (received from Lemon Squeezy upon purchase) for as long as your access to the premium checker is active, and for a reasonable period thereafter for support purposes. If you request deletion, we will remove it promptly.

The site uses the following third-party services whose privacy policies apply independently:
